    ADM23-19 Part 1 proposes:

107.3.1.1 Third-party certification. Products and materials required by the code to be in compliance with referenced standards shall be certified a third-party certification agency as complying with the referenced standards. Products and materials shall bear the identification of the manufacturer and any markings required by the applicable referenced standards.

So any material would have to be certified by a 3rd party certification agency. iCC & UL will be bigger than Google, Apple, etc. If this passes. Also, given the slowness these organizations have shown to manufacturers, the U.S. Construction volume per year will shrink from $1.3 trillion to almost nothing while these certifications slowly drop out.

One of the ADM committee members works for UL. No secret how that vote will go.

Have you ever been to Code hearings?

I can tell you now, it will not make it out of Committee.

Even if it did, it has to be voted on in cdpAccess be membership, never happen.

Industry has no vote in cdpAccess, governmental members only.

It was proposed by the Compliance Code Action Committee (CCAC) of ICC.
